Regional Information
*There are 9 Div I Regionals held around the state on Saturday. The top 3 teams from each Regional qualify to the State Meet. Individuals can qualify to the State Meet by finishing in the top 15 at the Regional.
*This the same course we ran on for the Woodhaven Invit. back in August.
*There are 15 individual medals, and those 15 runners are considered All Region. The winning team receives a trophy and 7 team medals.
*Teams in our Regional: Belleville, Woodhaven, Edsel Ford, Fordson, Cass Tech, Martin Luther King, Western International, Lincoln Park, Romulus, Monroe, Southgate Anderson, Taylor Kennedy, Bedford, Wyandotte Roosevelt, Lincoln
*There will be a maximum of 112 runners (16 teams) in our Regional.
*MHSAA Regional T-shirts will be on sale – 15.00

--take I 94 east to I 275
--take I 275 south for 9.4 miles to Will Carleton Rd (exit 8) toward Flat Rock – turn left on Will Carleton
--go 4.4 miles and turn left at Telegraph/US 24 and go .2 miles
--turn right at E Huron River Drive and go 5.1 miles
--turn left at W Jefferson and go .2 miles
--turn right at Lake Erie Metro Park

Saline men and women Cross Country athletes were on top of their game at the Regional Meet held on Saturday, October 25 @ Lake Erie Metro Park while dominating the field for the championship title sweep. 25 points equals the lowest point total ever in a Regional competition for Hornet women! The race featured 5 All Region runners out of the top 15 places. On a blustery afternoon, Saline soared to the successful achievement of 5 individual medals, 7 team medals and the first place trophy which symbolizes SEVEN consecutive Regional championships. *We’ve had the individual Regional champion for 7 years in a row – Eileen Creutz in 02, 03, 04, 05 and Alex Leptich in 06, 07, and 08.

*Our 7th runner – Christina - beat every other team’s 3rd runner.
*We won 5 individual medals and 7 team medals…. and the trophy.
*We had the first place runner in the JV race – Samantha Szuminski.
*That’s seven consecutive Regional championships in a row.
