• 1967 - Graduated from Napoleon High School in Napoleon, MI
• 1971 - Obtained BA from University of Michigan Obtained MA in English from Eastern Michigan University
• 1971 - 1976 - Taught and coached CC and Track at Grass Lake High School in Grass Lake, MI
• 1977 - Began teaching and coaching career at Saline High School
• Ran Track and CC in high school
• Ran Track at University of Michigan
• Marathons - Detroit Free Press (5 times), Traverse City (1 time), Boston (3 times)
• Competed in 100th running of Boston Marathon in April 1996
• Retired from teaching after 33 years in the classroom, 28 in Saline.
• Family: Wife- Mary, teaches Spanish at Saline and is one of our biggest CC fans; Sons - Travis and Ryan; Daughter - Megan
  

Coaching at Saline has been a great experience. It has been fun to watch the program grow and to see us improve as the years have gone by. Here at Saline we have dedicated athletes and supportive parents. That is our formula for success.
