Ypsilanti Head Coach, Tom Micallef, brings many special extra racing opportunities to XC teams in the area. 10 Hornet harriers comprised a Saline Varsity “B” team accompanied by Coach Chuck Lesch and traveled together to a familiar race site for this annual event. The charming and talented, Chelsie Noble WON in 21:59 with darling Desi O’brien snagging the 2nd place finish in 22:29. Emily Hogikyan was 3rd for Saline in 22:36 symbolic of the strength and steady improvement perseverance brings. All other times for these dedicated athletes are posted below and speak well for their commitment and willingness to go the extra mile. Times and team scores are listed below.
A few highlights to capture include 5 (all sophomores) in the top 12 and all 10 were in the top 21. They brought home the 1st place trophy and 10 individual medals. Coach Lesch is now undefeated in Varsity competition! Way to go.
