This summer, the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 5k road race in early August. Located just outside of Ann Arbor and in the heart of Washtenaw County, and not far from and perhaps a great alternate or replacement for the Run Thru Hell, Saline offers a flat and fast course through the neighborhoods and school lots. It should be a wonderful event! The race, billed as the SummerFest 5k, will start and end in downtown Saline, at the City of Saline building. The course will be a quick loop through the neighborhoods and school lots on the north side of Michigan Avenue.

Following the race , all high school athletes (and recent grads) are welcome to come to Mill Pond Park to play some friendly games of ultimate frisbee with Saline's cross country team.

The 2010 Saline SummerFest 5k will be the morning of Saturday, August 7.
