Historical Notes: We've been running the State Meet at MIS since 1996. In 1996 and 1997 we sent individual runners. In 1998 the team placed 9th overall and in 1999 the team rocketed to 3rd place! Our best finish in the large school division was in 2007, when Saline finished 2nd. For the past three years, Saline has finished in the top ten. The Course...
The course is FAST and FLAT. There is one minor hill in the 2nd mile, it is long and steady. This is a PR course IF the weather is right. There isn't very good drainage and rain will make for a ton of mud and slow times. There really aren't any great vantage points to watch the race from. It's hard to see much other than the start and finish.

Meet Notes:
-The State Finals includes the top 27 teams in Michigan and about 40 individual qualifiers.
-Team places are very difficult to figure, as the competition is VERY good and there are many "unattached" runners in the race that do not affect scoring.
-Throughout the season, we have competed against Michigan's best. This race will look a lot like every other invite we've had this year.
-There will be a "team sendoff" for all the athletes who will be running in the meet. Come join us and show your support!
-The team stops for pizza on the way home...
-ALL are welcome to come and cheer the Hornets on...Bring your friends and family...Celebrate the success of our athletes!
