Historical
Notes: This
is our 4th consecutive Regional at this course and we
have had mixed results here. In 2004, our #1 runner was
in third place when he suddenly collapsed less than 100
meters before the finish line. In 2005, we could not compete
with the very strong field and Saline had no state qualifiers for the first
time in many years. In 2006, Saline placed third, and qualified for the State Finals. For 2007, we'll be the favorite for the win, but will have to run well to pull it off! |

| The
Course... | | The
course is flat with two treks up a short but steep hill. There is
a 1.5 mile loop
that is run twice. There are several sharp turns and 3-4 drainage ditches that
go through the course and must be run through (they are dry unless
it rains).
The kick is downhill into the finish and the finish comes quickly so start early. |

Meet Notes:
-Again, our region is the toughest in the state, with three teams ranked in the top ten of the state! Pioneer, Huron, and Woodhaven will all be battleing with Saline for one of the top three spots, while Heck from Monroe, Culbretson from Pioneer, and our own Blake Johnson are contenders for the individual title. This is going to be an all out battle to extend the season and take top honors...only
three teams will advance out of this
race!
-There is a reserve race here, but only a few runners will be invited to participate.
