Historical Notes: Saline traditionally races Huron for the early-season scrimmage, but Monroe and Skyline have joined the SEC and we have found new opponents. Skyline is just building a program. Monroe is a high-quality program that is also part of our region. In 2006, they produced the individual regional champion and the runner-up! Cole Sansaverino, who won the region, went on to finish 3rd in the state finals and currently runs for Eastern Michigan. Justin Heck, who was 2nd in the region, will compete for Monroe again.

Meet Notes:

- Because this will be the first race for many of our runners, we will only be running two miles.
- The coaches agreed that we wanted a competition experience, but not head-to-head between our top runners.
- Our top ten runners or so will not start with everyone else. Instead, both teams will hold their top-ten on the starting line for 90 seconds after the gun goes off.
- No scores will be kept
- Because we are holding back our top runners, someone else will have a "shot at glory" and the overall win!
